At Beginning of June,2026, sulfuric acid prices in some regions of the domestic market rose by RMB 50-100 per ton. As of now:

The delivered price of 98% smelter-grade sulfuric acid in Hubei stands at RMB 1,810-1,900 per ton;

The ex-works price of 98% smelter-grade sulfuric acid in Guizhou stands at RMB 1,650-1,850 per ton;

The ex-works price of 98% ore-based sulfuric acid in Shandong stands at RMB 1,850-1,930 per ton.

Domestic sulfur prices remained range-bound at high levels today. Inventory holders showed strong reluctance to sell, resulting in a wide price gap between buyers and sellers and a market stalemate. Due to difficulties in sulfur procurement, sulfur-based sulfuric acid production continues to operate at low load, with production shutdowns expected in the coming period.

Prices of smelter-grade and ore-based sulfuric acid increased today: the reduced supply of sulfur-based acid drove up demand for the other two acid types. Meanwhile, some downstream industries are concerned about future raw material supply, boosting their willingness to purchase sulfuric acid and leading to a significant pickup in market inquiries.

Transaction prices of sulfuric acid rose steadily in some regions. Supported by strong rigid demand, there are clear signs of upward momentum in the market. However, some enterprises remain in a cautious wait-and-see stance. In the short term, sulfuric acid prices are expected to see slight, steady increases.
