China's titanium dioxide has started a new round of price increasing $150/ton since May 6th,2021 due to titanium concentrate price going up and tight supply.
There are two main reasons for the continuous rise of titanium dioxide price. One is the rising cost of raw materials such as titanium concentrate; Second, strong demand at home and abroad leads to tight supply. After the epidemic, the economy recovered rapidly, the prosperity of real estate and automobile batteries rose, and the demand for titanium dioxide at home and abroad increased greatly. Many companies produce at full capacity and the market is still in short supply。
